The Internet services of NIC are provided through NICNET, NIC’s satellite based
computer communication network, which is a prominent Gateway of Internet in India.

The range of Internet Services being provided by NIC includes:

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

1) All Charges are to be paid in advance by subscribers failing which the service can be disconnected.
2) Charges are for the period of a financial year from 1st April to 31st March.
3) E mail Charges are for ONE year or number of HOURS whichever is earlier.
4) NIC has the right to revise the rates at its discretion.
5) Any subscriber wishing to discontinue any of the service should give two months advance notice to NIC.
6) All payments be made by Draft or Cheques (if payable at par at Bangalore) in the case of non Bangalore offices.
7) Cheques/DD’s should be drawn in favour of DDO, National Informatics Centre, payable at Bangalore
8) All subscribers should note that Demand Drafts/Pay order Commissions payable to the Banks have to be borne by them and cannot be deducted from the NIC connectivity charges.
9) All subscribers are requested to neither share nor Transfer their user Id’s,password to others apart from those in whose names it is created. Those connections misutilising the services can be disconnected without intimating the subscriber.
10) All Technical queries may be addressed to the respective Coordinators of User organisations or to the head of the nearest NIC office by the subscriber.
11) The Subscriber is forbidden to send unsolicited mails/Information over NICNET.
12) All Subscribers queries with respect to billing can be Emailed to ddo@mail.kar.nic.in
13) All Subscribers should note that no TDS be debited from the rates as NIC is a Government Department and its revenue is credited into the Consolidated Fund of Government of India.
