Place of Birth:Harapanahalli, Davanagere District, Karnataka State.

1) Had Primary Education and High School Education At Harapanahalli.

2) Obtained Bachelor of Commerce Degree in the year 1970 from Vijayanagara College Hospet in Bellary District.

3) Obtained Bachelor of Legal Literature Degree in 1973 from University Law College Karnataka University, Dharwad.

CARRIER IN JUDICIARY :

I) Was appointed as Munsiff on 13.01.1978 by Special One Time Selection Rules by the Hon'ble High Court of Karnataka with one advanced increment and served as Munsiff and J.M.F.C., at Manvi in Raichur District, Pawgada, Madhugeri, Kunigal in Tumkur District, Prl. Munsiff, Dharwad and Prl. Munsiff Belgaum (1978-1987).

II) Was promoted as Civil Judge in May 1987 and served as additional Judge, Court of Small causes at Bangalore (1987 to 1992) and Additional Civil Judge and Chief Judicial Magistrate at Mysore (1992 to 1996) and as Prl. Civil Judge and Chief Judicial Magistrate at Shimoga (1996 -1997).

III) Was promoted as District Judge on 15-05-1997 and served as District and Sessions Judge in a Court Specially Constituted to try Atrocities on Schedule Castes and Schedule Tribes at Gulbarga.

IV) Was selected as Judge of Family Court in May 1998 to the newly established Family Court at Gulbarga and has served as Judge of Family Court at Gulbarga from 25-05-1998 to 20-05-2000. Prepared draft rules for Family Courts to be framed by the Hon'ble High Court and submitted the same to Hon'ble High Court.

V) Served as II Additional City Civil & Sessions Judge at Bangalore from 22-05-2000 to 06-12-2000.

VI) Was appointed as Additional Secretary to Government of Karnataka in Law Department, Vidhana Soudha, Bangalore and served as such from 06-12-2000 to May 2003.

VII) Served as Additional City Civil and Sessions Judge, Mayo Hall, Bangalore from May 2003 to May 2004.

VIII) Served as Presiding Officer Industrial Tribunal at Mysore having jurisdiction over entire Mysore Revenue Division consisting of Mysore Shimoga, Hassan, Chikkamangalore, Dakshina Kannada and Mandya.

IX) Served as Principal District & Sessions Judge Mangalore, Dakshina Kannada, District.

X) Served as First Principal District & Session's Judge at Ramnagar, newly Created District.

XI) Served as Principal District & Session's Judge at Karwar, Uttara Kannada District.

XII) Appointed as Principal Secretary to Legislature on 16-07-2009 and is serving as such till date.

OTHER INTERESTS :

I) Reading Legal Literature, Listening to light music, Gardening, Finds pleasure in serving the needy.

II) Presented Paper on Human rights & Women and Children in All India Seminar organized by Department of Sociology and Human Studies Gulbarga University at Gulbarga.

III) Has given talks in A.I.R. Stations of Bangalore, Mysore and Gulbarga on various topics relating to Democracy, Family Law, Rights of Women and Children etc.

IV) Served as Treasurer Management Committee Member Secretary of Karnataka State Judicial Officer Association from 1989 to 1992. Served as Vice President of Karnataka State Judicial Officer's Association during 2002 to 2003. Served as President of Karnataka State Judicial Officer's Association during 2005 to 2006.
